zotfile / dropbox / iannotate -- all markups disappeared.
I opened iannotate on my ipad today to keep reading and marking up files sent to my tablet from zotero via zotfile. To my surprise, all files closed. Open one from the zotfile folder in dropbox in iannotate, and none of the annotations appear. Open zotero and go to the tablet files tag (and the modified tablet files tag) and I get a host of error messages saying files don't exist.
Does anyone have any idea what has happened here? I know that zotero has updated since I last opened iannotate on the ipad, but....

bwiernikUnless you specifically tell Zotfile to send or retrieve PDFs to the tablet folder, it doesn’t touch that folder at all. This is likely a problem with iAnnotate, not anything to do with Zotero.

adamsmithZotero doesn't touch linked files -- this most sounds like a problem with Dropbox sync or iannotate, especially since it originated on the ipad where neither Zotero nor Zotfile even exist.
